Handles continue to be individually turned on a lathe, polished and filled by hand using a knot of selected Chinese badger hair. With the proper care the brush should last for many years. Simpsons state that the density of hair in their shaving brushes means that a brush stand, for inverting the brush is not required.

Paco Great brush and service!I learned through one the shaving forums that the Gentleman's Shop had a limited quantity of the Simpsons Tulip 2 with 2 band Super Badger hair. I contacted Robert who reserved one for me. The brush is of excellent quality and so is the service from the Gentleman's Shop.
