Ever wondered what happens to our left over sale items when the January sale finishes?

We box everything up and deliver it to our local charity shop who sell goods on behalf of Prospect House Hospice, www.prospect-house.net .  We have registered with the gift aid scheme so for every pound raised through selling our donation they can claim 28p back from the treasury!

Prospect Hospice’s dedicated end of life care and last year reached more than 1,600 people living with cancer and other serious conditions in Swindon, north Wiltshire, and also in Fairford and Lechlade in Gloucestershire. They cared for people in their own homes, in care homes, at the Great Western Hospital and at the Hospice in Wroughton. They also supported their families and friends too.

Prospect Hospice is a registered charity, and it costs more than £5m to provide the care for their patients and families each year. They receive just 30 per cent of their income from statutory organisations such as the NHS, they rest we must raise themselves. 

For thirty years  Prospect has provided the only dedicated end of life care service for the 300,000 people living in our community – bringing care, comfort and confidence around the clock every day of the year. Their care has expanded and evolved over the years, and their aim as they look to the future is to bring more care for patients and practical and emotional support for their carers and family.

We are delighted to be in a position to offer any support we can to such a worthwhile charity.

The brand.

The designers.

Dosh was founded in 2007 by Henri Spaile and Mark Armstrong. As longtime stalwarts of the Australian industrial design landscape through their award winning design studio Blue Sky Design Group, they set about creating their own brand and range of products that bring the values of innovative design and style, to the segment of wallets. The result was dosh – a range of unique wallets that respond to the needs of modern living. 

Mark and Henri have created a wide range of award winning products including the Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch, digital cameras for Olympus in Japan, mobile phones for Philips electronics and high end home products for Electrolux in Sweden. Their attention to detail and skill in creating ‘emotional’ products are a key driving factor in their designs. Of course, all of their designs are underpinned by a strong focus on functionality, innovation and utilizing the latest advanced technologies and materials.

The products.

All dosh wallets are designed and manufactured at dosh’s Sydney headquarters, using the highest quality materials and production processes. The patented combination of flexible and semi-flexible polymer materials gives the wallets their unique properties and function. 

The wallets are injection moulded in an advanced polymer material developed by Bayer MaterialScience called desmopan®. This material makes dosh wallets highly durable, water & chemical resistant yet giving the products a luxurious, soft-touch feel.

The integrated money clips are all handmade from high grade, brushed stainless steel giving them a high-value jewelley like quality. The iconic, crystal-clear dosh polycarbonate packaging is designed to be used as a coin box, and promotes post purchase use. No animals, humans or rivers are hurt in the production of dosh wallets, and all of the materials in a dosh wallet are recyclable at the end of the wallets life.

Dosh wallets has received a number of international design awards including a prestigious International IF design award and Australian design award.

Today we are proudly flying the Norwegian Flag on Charnham House.

His Excellency Ambassador Kim Traavik has kindly agreed to turn on the Hungerford Christmas lights this evening at 6pm in recognition of the support and condolences offered by the community of Hungerford to the people of Norway following the awful bombing in Oslo and shootings in Utoya.
